
There is no unnecessary waste at the construction site due to chip prefabrication. Individual steel parts that are produced in a workshop are imported to the site of construction in final form, no further adjustment is needed
Depending on the processer, metals are sorted into individual species (e.g. copper, aluminium, steel) and subsequently processed and used as a secondary raw material during production by various methods (most often by pressing).
Construction waste has a significant part of the total waste in society. According to experts, for 1 inhabitant approximately from 0,6 – 1,0 tonnes of building waste per year.
The issue of the disposal of construction waste and the possibility of its further utilization is one of the priority topics in the current effort to create sustainable development and environmental policy.
Construction and demolition wastes are defined in § 40c of Act No. 223/2001 Coll., further divides into individual groups by Decree of the Mo.E SR no. 284/2001 Coll., which establishes a waste catalogue.
Metals make up to 4% of the total mass of municipal waste. This includes: cans, beverage cans, metal bottles and cups, metal tubes, wires and cables (without a spout), old dishes, sprays, metal scrap, steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium caps, aluminium covers, metal caps, clips, spikes, pins, metal pipes, old keys, locks, valves etc. Excludes: metalscontaminated with food residues, dyes and various chemicals.
