Do you know what are the parameters of a low-energy house?
Efficiency parameter is defined as the annual energy consumption (heating energy) of the building – the family house – per square meter (1 kWh m2 per year). Simply, how much kWh energy we need to achieve thermal comfort per square meter per year.
The buildings are divided as follow:
- older buildings: > 200 kWh/m2
- classic new building: 100 – 150 kWh/m2
- energy-efficient houses: 50 – 100 kWh/m2
- low energy buildings: 15 – 50 kWh/m2
- passive houses: 5 – 15 kWh/m2
- zero-energy buildings< 5 kWh/m2
